On July 22, 2026, the next festival summer begins with the first new production on the floating stage under the artistic director Lilli Paasikivi. The program features Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata." The masterpiece, which premiered in Venice in 1853, is one of the most popular and frequently performed operas worldwide.

"The story, the music, and the characters create a captivating and exhilarating evening for the eyes, ears, and heart. I can hardly wait to hear these famous melodies on Lake Constance and am very happy that the great storyteller Damiano Michieletto will make his debut on the floating stage with this popular Italian opera,” says the designated artistic director Lilli Paasikivi.
