salon angelika –
Contemporary art at the Angelika Kauffmann Museum
The genre of still life and installation moments are at the heart of Susanna Hofer's photographic practice. She collects set pieces from the everyday world of objects and nature and arranges them into precisely composed images using the techniques of product and advertising photography.
In Schwarzenberg, curiosities from the museum's collections serve as her source material. Hofer weaves these objects and stories together with the mythological subjects of Angelika Kauffmann and personal associations to create visual-narrative tableaux that tell of the beauty in the ordinary, matters of love and transience.
Exhibition opening 7 March, 2 to 5 p.m.
Museum opening hours Friday to Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.
Thursday, 30 April — Der Hirschen visits 1477 Reichhalter in South Tyrol. Cooking and good vibes guaranteed.
