Contemporary Art at the Angelika Kauffmann Museum
The genre of still life and installative moments are at the center of Susanna Hofer's photographic practice. She collects fragments from everyday life and nature and arranges them with the means of product and advertising photography into precisely composed images.
In Schwarzenberg, curiosities from the museum's collections serve as material. Hofer weaves these objects and stories with the mythological subjects of Angelika Kauffmann and personal associations into visually-narrative tableaux that tell of beauty in the ordinary, matters of love, and transience.
