Summer Exhibition at the Angelika Kauffmann Museum
Exquisite. Angelika Kauffmann and Literature
The exhibition traces the stories that Angelika Kauffmann (1741–1807) tells in her paintings. What literary materials did she draw upon, which scenes and characters did she choose, and how did she visualize the event? These and other questions are illuminated in more detail using original paintings, drawings, and prints from all creative periods. The chapters span a range from classical epics and tragedies to Shakespeare and Torquato Tasso, up to famous contemporaries of the artist such as Goethe, Herder, and Klopstock.

Guided Tour of the Bezau Museum
Two architectural worlds meet under one roof at the Bezau Museum. The listed historical building with its modern annex is itself an impressive exhibit.

In Au in the Bregenzerwald, Michael Beer founded the Auer Guild in 1657. Its members planned and built around 800 Baroque buildings in Central Europe until the 1780s.

Guided Tour of the Werkraum Bregenzerwald
The exhibition unplugged – the power of wood joints at Werkraum Bregenzerwald is dedicated to traditional and contemporary wood joints in craftsmanship, architecture, and design.
