Blog — Hirschen, fine hotel in the Bregenzerwald

The most beautiful Viewpoints

Reach the most beautiful viewpoints in and around Schwarzenberg either on foot or by bike. You will be amazed!

1 | Alpe Rothenbach
"Wow. Wow. Wow." - that's how Franz Fetz would describe this place. It's calm up there - apart from a few cowbells. And the landscape - simply magnificent - simply beautiful. It takes about 2 1/2 hours from Schwarzenberg. It's best to grab a backpack with some Landjäger for the ascent at the Hirschen.

2 | Angelikahöhe
If you don't want to cover too many altitude meters in order to enjoy a view, the best option is to go to Angelikahöhe. Only a few minutes from the Hirschen, the hill provides a wonderful overview of Schwarzenberg and towards Vorderbregenzerwald. You can linger for hours on the "bench" up there.

3 | Bödele - Seewarte
Just a few meters behind Lake Bödele, a beautiful panorama opens up over the Rhine Valley to Lake Constance. For those who want to extend the walk, we recommend the circular walk through Fohramoos. A pleasant path with little incline through marshy moors, idyllic forests, and lush meadows.

4 | Die Niedere
Above Andelsbuch and Bezau, this 1500-meter-high mountain rises. From up there, you definitely have an overview. And how do you get up there? Either on foot from Bezau or Andelsbuch (relatively steep ascent) or you can comfortably take the cable car from Bezau. From 3 nights onwards (from May to October), you will receive the Bregenzerwald-Card with which you can use all mountain railways and buses for free.
