Seminar room at Hotel Hirschen Schwarzenberg

This room is named after famous artist Paul Renner from the Bregenzerwald area. He made an expressive fresco especially for this room. This painting, which is also his biggest work, was created in 1991 during his time as artist in residence. It is named after the famous Russian novel hero “Oblomov”.

Paul Renner was also the initiator of the legendary “Vacanz”-festival, which took place at Hirschen Schwarzenberg. In 1995, the main focus was architecture with prominent guests including Zaha Hadid, Raimund Abraham and Wolf Prix. 1998 was all about food. An intense gastronomical exchange of ideas with famous chefs such as Ferran Adrià and Eckart Witzigmann. “Chefs, poets, philosophers, artists, musicans, collectors, film-makers, publishers – cooking, eating, drinking, exhibiting and presenting” was how the program was described.
